The Committee’s mission is to provide support in the planning of education programs for the Church so that each individual at each stage of his/ her developing life , may be led to know , love and serve God as revealed in Christ’s activities.
This committee challenge is to effectively develop the outreach ministry of the Church, they seek to accomplish this call primarily by a Ministry of encouragement through these activities. Looking for opportunities for outreach ministry, supporting the work and ministry that our church has involvement with, supporting the church leaders in this work, inspiring the congregation with a vision and purpose for outreach.
In the United Church, we describe ourselves as "being in ministry together," recognizing that the work of paid ministry personnel* is only part of the ministry that takes place in the pastoral charge. The M&P Committee oversees relationships within the pastoral charge ministry, particularly the roles and functions of paid leaders and employees. The M&P Committee has a dual role: it is consultative and supportive.
This committee ensures that the Pastoral Care and concerns of the Congregation are addressed. This is communicated through phone out and pastoral visits. They are responsible for the Seniors Tea, prayer circle and Newcomers welcome and maintain the Church roll report. All Pastoral Care and Evangelism issues are referred to this Committee.
This committee purpose is to maintain the land and building in an acceptable manner. To meet all Civic codes and to respond to Committee requests for upgrades and maintenance concerns.
The purpose of this committee is to adequately fund and resource the mission of the Church and the Mission and Service of the greater church. They engage the congregation thoughtfully and passionately in our fund raising efforts. They are responsible for the financial affairs and reporting financial statements of the Church and its committees.
The goal of this Committee is to educate and empower the Congregation towards their ministry in the world through worship experiences that include time for praise, learning, caring and energizing and by involving and engaging the congregation in planning and leading worship.
